Has any one visited a dealership lately. I was looking at the new F250. The dealer was wanting MSRP on these. These things shot up to 60 to 80k... WTF.
There are no rebates on the new heavy duty trucks.
He said it was supply and demand. Is there any good dealers out there looking to make a deal?
Gave my neighbor a ride to the dealership a couple days ago to pick up his new beautiful 70k truck. He made it 13 miles in the black beauty before a default mode took over. Had to tow it back to the dealer. 20 minutes and 13 miles was the maiden voyage.
Even after the thousands of negative comments the neighbor has made towards all my "old waste of time/money ford trucks", found that I could not muster the fortitude to strike down someone with the look of horror on their face when in the moment of contemplating a 70k "waste of time/money".
Matter of fact - tonight that ****ur said I don't have a 5.9 12v. How can another pecker look at my engine and say its to good for my 78 crewcab, its an 8.1. Now what does 8.1 mean in regards to a 12v cummins and how can someone tell that by looking at it for 20 seconds?
I just bought a 21. 5k off sticker, 250. rebate.
Your dealer is wack.
I agree that demand is outstripping supply. The RV market went nuts last summer. I whole lot of folks got trapped into the "oh yeah, you can tow this with a quarter ton, no problem", and are finding out yes, you can tow, if you like 4MPG and at the rev limiter while going 45.
Add in that electronics are hard to get right now, and supply is low. My local dealer told me it could be 16 weeks for an order. Kentucky Plant
I looked in a wider circle and found Don Meyer Ford outside of Indy had a couple. Drove 300 miles, and picked up my 21. The whole deal was smooth and easy.
that dealer is crazy , theyre just hiding behind a "supply/demand" issue and trying to bilk you. just because theres been some truck sales doesnt mean they should completely dime you without some sort of attempt at a deal. id say look elsewhere for a dealer more open to your needs and pricing.
