Blow By Assistance
I have a 1999 F-450 7.3 that has a very rough idle. I got the truck from an auction and do not have any history. It currently has 209k miles. I rebuilt all injectors and replaced the injector cups as well but the idle is still rough. I see puffs of smoke from the oil fill. Also the cylinder contribution test reports issue with 1 and 8.. Please have a look at my video and let me know some next steps. Thanks.

that smoke looks white, white smoke is typically a head gasket or something in the cooling system leaking into the engine, have you put your hand over it for a minute and smelled it? if so does it smell like oil or antifreeze

I think it smells of oil - I have added some of that stiction prevention stuff and it smells like grapes sort of - has a weird smell. It doesnt smell like coolant. When I changed the oil I didnt see any coolant in the oil. I dont see any bubbles in the coolant fill tank. Would a compression test be the next best thing to do in order to figure this out? I am getting cylinder contribution faults for 1 and 8 - the injector test is good since the injectors have been rebuilt.

That looks like compression being pushed into the crankcase. Leave the key out and jumper the starter relay on the fender and listen to the engine while cranking. You will hear it speed up as it hits the weak cylinder.
