Hello all. Newbie to the forum. Been working on this E350 4x4 since spring and thought I'd share and document the project here so I can get ideas and info from you guys. All bad metal replaced, bodywork and paint just finished. New weatherstripping at all doors and windows. Inside walls framed and insulated. Floor was poured with a silicon product and a vinyl floor installed atop. 460/C6/np205 all work well although I am addressing some leaks
Thanks guys. Yes the drivetrain is not ideal for fuel consumption but this van will not be making long hauls and frankly will not be driven that often. I do have a 7.3 power stroke I may look to install but for now I'd like to just drive it for a bit. My plans are to outfit it with some body armor. Front and rear bumpers, tire carrier, rocker guards and of course just getting it running awesome then finish up the inside. I'll get a few more pics posted🤙
The TC front output seal was leaking badly so I pulled both front and rear and installed new seals. Each bearing cap was fitted with 2 seals atop each other for extra peace of mind This pic shows new and old yoke spline seal. The old was definitely in need of replace

Nice! DIY maintenance can be so gratifying. The peace of mind it gives when driving it for the first time after replacing something.
I had a small leak at each accelerator pump. While removing the carb I dropped it about 4"and of course broke the acc. pump lever. A new one final arrived so now back together after a good internal cleaning. Added some rtv to the pump cover gaskets so hopeful they won't leak now.
This air filter housing hasn't ever fit the filter that comes up at the auto parts store(filter is too tall) I was thinking of buy an aftermarket one then decided to go this route. Cut the old..... I started stripping paint for a clean new coat of Ford blue then decided for the petina look with a clear coat. I only needed the 1 vacuum port on the lid so this should work fine
The accelerator pumps were still leaking very slightly so I filed the cap surfaces flat this time. Each corner screw hole was high. Hopefully they seal up nicely now.
Scavenged what looks to be a fairly new motorcraft alternator out of a Taurus wagon to do a 3G 130 amp upgrade this weekend
I sure hope you plan to spin that with a serpentine belt as it was designed for, if not it takes 2 V-belts to turn it, and even at that it can chirp and slip.

Thank you sir. I can't seem to leave things be so I added some decals to cheese it up a bit. I believe I could clear space for a dual alt setup but I'd like to move the PS pump up top so it doesn't sit atop the fuel pump anymore. There are a lot of hoses in that small area as of now
