It's a ultralight duty bumper, look at the pipe they used. Typical RH quality no doubt and the powder coat probably comes off in the first rain. I think there is enough of us who tried to like RH but can't because of the overwhelming quality fail.
I went with the Ranchhand Summit replacement bumper on my truck. The quality is great and the coating actual seems very well done. In speaking with dealers, they said there were issues in the past with the coating not getting into all the crevices, but that seems to have been fixed. Mine has been on for a month+, in rain and actually snow, and has zero rust.
The Summit is about 45ish pounds lighter than the Legend. The main differences being the Legend has the pipe across the bumper portion and a front hitch mount. The rest of the construction is the same. The summit is stout! The Midnight is like 20+ pounds lighter than the Summit. Its not exactly a lightweight.
I wanted something for deer and I believe the Summit will work very well for that. I really haven't checked out the Midnight that closely, so I can't say how well it'll work. That said, its a pretty big piece of steel, so its going to help some for sure.
I saw them, looks neat but a terrible design. I don’t care how good the coating is, all that mesh will eventually rust, dent and/or break. Also, look behind your bumper, it’s solid for a reason, nothing behind your bumper is finished and expected to be exposed to view. Neat in concept, but not a fan for practicality.
We've sold a number of them to customers and they've been happy. It's a cool, modular design so you can make some changes for additional lighting and things like that as needed. Feel free to send me a PM and we can go over some options and pricing.
