And because I was always happy with the stock 300's back in the day. I have decided that a stock internal rebuild, and the addition of :stock EFI cast dual manifolds, ( I never liked headers, always needed attention)
EEC VI ( has always been dependable for me)
And Either an Offy with an Edlebrock 5-600cfm or Cliffords Dual Webbers.
Does anyone have experience or facts on either of those intake/carb choices, or a better suggestion.
Eric
The reason why the Demon 625 cfm carb worked on a stock engine is because of the small primaries and vacuum secondary.
The 38 Webbers on the Clifford are synchronized where all 4 barrels (Both Carburetors) open together.
Use the Offy "C" with your choice of vacuum secondary 4 barrel carb.
The Demon 625 is a spreadbore carb with very small primaries and worked well on the stock 300.

Offy makes a dual plane also, wouldn't that be better for a street truck? I think it's a #6019

The "C" seems to work as well as the "DP" at low rpm but the "C" gives better mid to upper rpm torque.
Some have made the DP work but there have been many to trade the "DP" for the "C"
The one big problem with the "DP" is it will only let the carburetor sit sideways with the primaries facing the valve cover.
Makes throttle cable routing a pain.
