Why do some gauge settings keep changing overnight

Last few days, every morning when I get in my truck and start it up I’ve notice that the clock on my Sync screen has reset to 24 hr format and my far right gauge in my gauge cluster behind my steering wheel has changed from my DEF fluid gauge to a turbo boost gauge. I keep changing it back to where it’s been for the last 2 and a half years and every morning it’s changed back to what I’ve described above. This has only been going on the last week. Anyone got any suggestions or help on what’s causing this little glitch?

I am not certain but suggest first check your batteries. I am reading and hearing of the different odd problems caused by weakening batteries.

I tend to agree with degrading batteries. Or a rodent working it’s way through a wiring harness. Hope for batteries.

I’ve had an issue since new with my 2019 f350 Lariat with the dimming dash. Constantly have to change it back to dim. PITA. Just one of those things

I’ve noticed it’s cranking a little slower since it got cold out. Hmmmm

and it only takes one of them being weak. Also, if one is weak, it can take the other one with it, since they’re in parallel.

Maybe your truck thinks it's in the military?

Are your batteries still under warranty? Even if they aren't, I would get them tested. The batteries may not be the problem.

I don’t think so. I haven’t had the truck 3 years yet but I have over 40,000 miles.

I've had this same issue on my 19 since new. Its a random occurrence, not everyday but often enough. Unlike the OP this gauge brightness issue is an isolated thing, no other settings change on the truck.

All of the issues above here as well. Happened with both old and new batteries. I’ve just given up. It’s not as often as the OP for me

Have you paired your key fob to one of the memory buttons? While the truck is on hold the #1 memory button until you get a message on the dash. Mine asked to push the lock button on the key fob to confirm. I’m sure this is different based on type of key fob, but worth a try...

You want to make sure all your settings along with mirrors are where you want them prior to doing.

I had a weird insistent the other day where mirrors would not auto fold; auto fold was selected, but it would not allow me to unselected. Next day I could unselect and select and all is fine now🤷‍♂️

Pretty sure I haven’t done that however......I did go out one morning after I’d had it about a year and ALL my windows were down. I don’t really know what caused that. Might’ve been something I hit on the key fob. IDK.

Crazy, who know what that was all about. The window open function from the fob only opens the two fronts.
