So my CAT is clogged and was thinking about doing a DIY exhaust kit from the manifold back, However Im not seeing any kits out there, anyone buy and install a cat delete kit in thier 1992 thru 95 Bronco with the 5.8L and where did you find your exhaust kit?
You will find this may be difficult to find as the EPA has tightened up enforcement on modification to the emissions systems. It has been illegal for years but now a lot of the "OFF ROAD" modifications are becoming quite difficult to find.
If you really want something like that and don't reside where emissions testing is done a good exhaust shop is most likely your best bet. You might try LMC trucks in their F-150 section which could give you enough pipe to put it together without the CAT. Last chance would be to get the exhaust system and put a piece of flex pipe in between the hard pipes.
Remember you're talking about a 25 to 30 year old vehicle that has been out of production for 25 years
There should be two catalytic converters on that truck. If I recall the front one connects the two sides of the “y” pipe together and the second is after(?) the air injection tube. Why wouldn’t you get a kit that replaces the “y” pipe and uses one converter?
Or do what I did and have an exhaust shop make fabricate one.
thats what Im after do you know where I can get this kit?
