2020 F-150 Upgrades

I have a set of new Ford 20" alloy wheels and tires sitting in my daughter's garage. I have to go down to SoCal and pick them up.
I may opt to have them done up in black. I will wait and see how they look on the truck. I am also looking for the best method to get the rear of the truck out of the clouds. I don't think a simple shackle extension will bring it down far enough. Wheel liners are a good suggestion.

Unfortunately they don't make a TrueTrac for the super 8.8
Some guys have modified the stock (clutch style) LS from a newer Mustang to work in an F150, but it's not plug and play. One thing they had to do was machine down the c-clips and I'm not sure what else they had to do. I don't even own a super 8.8

Rear wheel well liners help the looks also.

You know the traction control that comes with the truck does a pretty good job. I have used the e-locker on ours occasionally, but I find just switching to 4WD works better most of the time.

I prefer clutchless limited slips but this is the only option for the super 8.8

Check with Quick Performance in Ames, Iowa. All they do is rearends and offer a Posi type unit for the 8.8. I've used them in the past for 9" Fords.

Yukon sells a clutch style limited slip for the super 8.8. From what I've read it's the stock Mustang LS modified to work in the F150. It's pricey compared to a just buying a stock Mustang LS from Ford and having a machine shop modify it.

While I was at it, I did a test fit of the 20" Ford alloy wheel.
The rear wheel fits in without any problems. I haven't tried the front as of yet. In the above picture, the rear of the truck is still up on jack stands. I have a set of the Ford lowering shackles that I will try to install while I have the truck up in the air.
