Hello January 2021 chat and BS thread.

I did some more disassembly on the Scout today. Ugh. This thing is BAD, bad. Every brace, floor section, body mount, etc. is rotted. Lemme put it this way, the hood and the doors don't need metal work. EVERYTHING OTHER PIECE OF METAL is rotted. The bottom ten inches of the truck are MISSING. Not rotted, but gone completely. So bad in fact, that I have to guess what each piece is supposed to look like because there's not enough there to make a complete pattern. Oh boy, what I stepped in on this one.

This from the moderator of the 7.3 forum...
Typically the webservice host will prompt users or visitors of the FTE for this when there is an attack or a problem of some sort happening on the server/servers. This attack or problem may not even be targeted to FTE, but since FTE is hosted via a large web service host, they "check" all of their customers. Most large companies have something like this to include Amazon, Walmart, Microsoft, Apple, etc...
Kind of like putting an extra layer of authentication on a web page request from the remote user. A second line of defense during a situation that would call for one.
It will go away soon.

Evening All!
I got the cab and front clip home. Now I have a nice, complete body, so if anyone knows of a '78/'79 3/4 ton 4wd chassis for sale, let me know. I can't buy a truck worth having for the money, so I'll just build one out of parts. I'll wind up with a nicer truck in the end, anyway.
