Question Operating Costs!!!

I just bought a 2002 F350, 7.3, crew cab 4x4 with 169k on the odometer. I felt like it was a good deal ($8k) and everything is stock except air intake and a tranny cooler. The previous owners were kind enough to include all their receipts since they bought it with 139k on it. I did a spread sheet last night on their repairs....$8900 in 34k miles. That's not maintenance, like batteries, tires, oil changes, just repairs! Not anything really major (valve cover gasket and wiring harness, alternator, starter, oil pump reseal brakes). After doing the math I'm not sure I can afford to drive this truck.
Any condolences, dope slaps, or advice appreciated.

It sounds like they already had everything done for you. 7.3 is a good motor so just drive it and don't worry. FWIW, if you are concerned about maintenance cost a diesel may not be right for you. If you can do most work yourself you should be good to go...
