Timbrens

I just installed a set of timbrens on my 2021 F250. They clunk when I go over bumps. Is this normal? I have a fuel transfer tank in the bed with about 35 gallons of fuel in it. Is it possible the weight of the fuel has put a partial load on? I also tightened the bolt from the rubber block to the bracket and noticed the the rubber block is still a bit loose and can turn. Is this also normal? Looking for feedback from people that have installed them. I had airbags in my previous truck but thought I’d try something different.

I installed on my 2020 F350. Rubber block was solid to the bracket when bolts were tight.

I just ordered a set. company says 35 ft-lbf torque is recommended on nuts and center bolt.

I'm curious for what loading conditions do you need the Timbrens? Are the Timbrens more for load stability or to mitigate excessive squat? I am close to purchasing a F250 and wonder if I should look for one with the camper package that has the auxiliary rear helper springs, or would the standard leaf packs plus Timbren or airbag is a better solution? Thanks.

The Timbrens are silent , I bet you have noise coming from something else. They are a good purchase, I will do the same.

I have a set on my 2020 f250. Love them. They don't make any noise whatsoever. I use them because I haul a Truck camper in the bed. They absolutely work as advertised.
Im thinking you didn't tighten them up good enough or you have something else going on.

I have Timbrens on my 2020 F250.

The nuts to install did go on a little tough for me. Thought they were cross threading, but they weren’t. But not sure you mean that clunk.

The transfer tank very well could be putting a partial load and causing you to bounce of them, but not be fully engaged. But that is only 300-400 pounds at front of bed, so you’d have to look underneath and see if your touching.

Also, they make different ones for 250 and 350, so make sure you got correct ones.
