I’m not the best with this stuff, but what adapter brand and type do I need to buy to make Forscan work on my 2021 F250 6.7? It plugs right in below your steering wheel correct? Is a spread sheet necessary? If so, where would I download one?
I need to enable OCR/DPF fuel filter screen on my truck.
Thanks for any help as this is slightly above my head, but think I can figure it out with a little guidance!
This is the one I got and it works well on my 2020 F250, there are others out there that work just as well for a little less but they generally are not Bluetooth capable. This link has a lot of info on Forscan , it is located at the top of the 2017+ Super Duty forum listing under sticky notes. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...readsheet.html
The OBDLink MX that chamdaddy shows is a popular one among forum users. I've had one for a few years now. As mentioned there are lower costs units out there that other guys are using but I don't have any experience with them.

I've used the MX+ and the EX 'Made for FORScan'. I like the later as never any connectivity issues using USB and its lightly less expensive. One advantage to the MX+ is the phone apps if you'd use those. Regardless of whichever you select, FORScan is an awesome tool for our trucks.
and they both work, although I've found the USB connection to be more reliable and faster when ready/writing the data. The MX+ also works with the FORScan app on smartphones/tablets.

I used the OBD Link EX for the first time yesterday, no issues. I like the wired connection so I know nothing goofy will go on while I'm trying to use Forscan.
