Well its been quite fun the past week, I have a freshly rebuilt engine. I was going to try and put it in this weekend but my machine shop lost the bolts to my water pump. He said that he was going to clean them up. Well he cleaned them so well that he can't find them.
He is ordering a bolt kit but it won't be here until tuesday, thats a big negative for me. I planned on putting her back in this weekend.
My limited library of engine stuff does not cover the bolt sizes to my water pump.
its a 78 351W, just a stock water pump is going into it.
Can anybody give me the bolt sizes for the water pump?
or roughly get me close and I can experiment.
5 short and 3 long,
Thanks stepman, I made it to the store and found what I needed, looks like its going to happen this weekend.
It seems I have to cut a couple of them down a bit but thats okay.
You mean I was actually that close? That was just a guess to get you in the ballpark. I don't think I've actually pulled the pump off mine for 2 years.
