Turn Signal Issue

I have one signal light in my instrument cluster that’s not working(left fwiw). Flasher clicks and the external lights work, but not the socket on the printed board. I swapped a known good bulb and checked voltage at the circuit board and nothing. Time for a new board or is there anything else to check before I load the parts cannon?

Voltage Regulator is on the back of that too. You could try and gently scuff up the contact points on the board. I ordered a brand new plastic backing (would recommend doing the same, they literally fall apart in your hands), and reused my old circuit board. No issues so far. I would suggest going ahead and replacing both the circuit board and plastic backing, would save you headaches in the future. But try scuffing the contact points first... see what happens. Best of luck!

Steel wool works great for cleaning up the contact points without damaging them. I did this on mine when I first got it. Went from no lights on the dash, to all lights working without changing any bulbs.

If you don't have steel wool, very fine sandpaper should work too.
You just don't want to get carried away with anything too aggressive - those copper contacts are very thin.

I forgot to mention, I did clean everything up with steel wool then wiped off the contacts with alcohol. Still not alternating voltage like the other side. Thanks for the tip on the plastic backing. Definitely would have been a headache when the new board comes in.

Might also check the continuity on those traces. If you have a break, check at your FLAPS for a rear defroster repair kit - part of it is a metallic paint made to bridge gaps in rear window defroster grids.

For cleaning your contacts, instead of steel wool try using a good pencil eraser. Lot less wearing on the traces and no metallic residue.

When you were checking was it at the light socket on the board?
Did you try back at the plug feeding the board for power there?
