Anyone use Marti Auto Works for Vin stickers and door tags? I ordered some August. Called to check on them in November but still do not have mine yet. What time frame do they usually run? I am pretty patient but on 4 months now is getting a bit worried.

 

In the past it’s usually been a few weeks for me. Due to Covid it could very well be longer. I’d give them another call

I ordered the same thing for my truck this year in may and I think I got them in october , I emailed them a few times and they said they were behind then. It was starting to get upset about it but kept my emails and call polite because they were and when they came it was well worth the wait.

 

Left a message this morning. Will see if I get a call back.

I've been waiting for mine since July. Talked to them in October and they said they were behind and it would be a few weeks. Talked to them a couple weeks ago and they said I was on the "priority" list. Haven't seen them yet. Have been super patient and friendly with them. Starting to get annoyed. I get all the bull**** going on, but if you're going to keep working, keep working. Rant over. Merry Christmas everyone.

 

I played phone tag with them a few times. They will return call my messages but I missed their call a few times due to bad cell service at my house. That is the positive side.
They told me for the second time that the metal tags were in production and would be going out very soon. Once they shipped I would get a confirmation e-mail. That was almost 2 weeks ago.
I have 0 faith in this company now and will not use them for future builds nor would I recommend them to anyone even if the work is stellar.

 

I ordered a Marti report last month and it was about a week turnaround at most. I’ve never ordered the metal tags from them though.

 

Not only due to COVID they take much longer than they advertise.
Some years ago I ordered a VIN tag and they took around 8-10 weeks to deliver.!
They should refresh their website and say they are taking longer than they advertise now.

 

I don't have a problem with them taking a long time. I do have a problem with them leading to believe that they vin plates were on the press and mine would be going out soon. They have done this twice now months apart. I will not believe anything they tell me going forward.

 

If they are the only one making them what you going to do?
So what if you have to wait you can still use the truck with out the plate right?

I'm not sure where you got the idea I needed to use the truck or if that was an issue.
They are not the only ones making vin stickers. Door tags perhaps? I will reuse old ones in the future.

 

Probably the matter of having paid nice money for a service you are not receiving.?

 

If that's what you you want to do then go for it. It is your money after all.

I laid out $1700 for an over drive unit that took longer that what it normally would.
I called them and they told me their work force was cut more than half because of this virus.
It may not effect you and work but dose others.
