I live in west virginia and was wondering if anyone around this area worked on trim for the trucks. There used to be a guy up in flat top that worked on trim and did a realy good job, but i cant seem to find him or his name. Im just looking for someone to polish the chrome and take the finish off where it has turned into a milky white.
for what most good metal guys charge it's way cheaper to get new stuff from Dennis Carpenter. it's pretty decent really.
The milky stuff you're talking about is the anodizing ( bright dip actually ) on the aluminum. it's a real PITA to get off and after you do then it has to be buffed back to a shine , and since it's protection is gone you'll have to polish it often like the bare aluminum it now will be.
