APPS
Hi Guys just got an F350 with sync3 and wanted to add a NAV App where do you get the App I want to download it to my laptop and put it on my thumb drive. So I would like a link to the app. Also where do you get the other Apps like weather what works for that Thanks.

My most favorite navigation app is WAZE, if people ahead alert you, it will even warn you about cars off the road, police ahead etc. My vehicles all have built in NAV, but I use Waze integrated with Sync 3 instead. It's much better and gives you alerts all for free.

Download the Waze app onto your smart phone. Then use Apple Carplay (or whatver the Andriod version is called) to conntect your phone to the truck's display. It should ask you if you want to use Waze on the screen. Then you can use Waze on your Sync display.

So from what I read, I get the impression that you can run select apps from the apps menu off of the Sync 3 screen - I have yet to see anyone explain how to do this as everyone seems to run Carplay and Android Auto to accomplish the same thing - it's probably gonna be a better experience any ways - which is what I have been doing as I can't figure out how to make the other way work.

I think Carplay is Iphone and Android auto is Android only.
I just have the Waze app on my Android phone, have Android Auto app on phone too. Plug in USB to truck and Waze automatically starts
