1973 351W Points Distributor

So, what would need to be done to use a 73 Points distributor in a later 351W?

Different diameter distributor gear? Searched the forum, but nothing exactly like this came up.

Thanks,

sb

Nothing, unless you're using it in a roller 351 then you'd need a steel gear for the roller cam

I would though replace the points with an electronic unit like a Pertronix. Unless you have a dwell meter, you'll never get the points set correctly. And they constantly wear, changing the dwell angle. Lots of so called "carb" problems were actually the points wearing and changing the tune of the ignition.
