Yes that would be great . I'm still contemplating a small above windshield chop but I can't tell by feel how the different panels are sandwiched . If you could et a pics close enough to see which way the individual panels fit that would be fantastic .
Yes thats what I needed . Thanks . Now if I can jut get my brain oriented to which way it sits . LOL If I have it right it is pictured upright , the lower portion is the windshield opening lip with the seam fill driprail above it on the right and the discontinued piece being the roof skin .
That is a great photo, much better than the drawings I have seen. To seal the drip rail seam I have been running some KBS Rust Seal down between the roof and inside panel, now I see exactly where it's going and more importantly where it's NOT going. To get to the windshield pinch weld I would have to drill an access hole in the inside panel or possibly go through the rear view mirror mounting holes.
I don't think Henry could have found a convoluted way to stick things together... that very thing kept me from removing drip rails... we just filled them
I'm not committed to it yet but am contemplating taking an inch or so out of the section above the windshield . I think I prefer the drip rail but came to the conclusion that along with some rake on the truck that this would create a place for water to pool plus complicate the sectioning process . The fact that the roofskin appears to be be liberated by cutting the drip rail should somewhat simplify my pondered plan . And yes charlie it definitely shows where anything put in there will go . I will probably stick my undercoat hose in the visor holes .
I think it would be a whole lot easier to cut the A- pillar's and chop it that way. Doing what you are suggesting is still going to alter your doors and the length of your roof..If I were you I'd go pick this cab up and do the work on it first $500 the add was up Dec 10 here https://www.facebook.com/groups/858456260868612/ and pretty sure I seen it on Kijiji too
Ya it will open a whole can of worms but chopping the A pillar is not the look I'm after , plus don't want to have to figure out how to cut the windshield . Doors have to be done either way and I am still analyzing where I would relieve the rear of the cab ( not chopping the rear ) and exactly how much it will affect the roof length .
