Distributors

What's the best source for a replacement or rebuilt? I was planning on using a petronix set up instead of points, since a PO converted the existing dizzy. I'm just looking to not go over board on the cost but don't want unreliable stuff.

Hi Eric. The motor is out of a '93. I'm in the assembly stage. Rv cam, hypereutectic pistons, efi exhaust, offy intake. It will be replacing the 240 in my '66

I"m doing a 300 in my '66 as well, I will get a New distributor from Rock Auto for a '75 with the 300, it'll be the eec electronic ignition. I have really good luck with them over the years. I put them in all my old Fords.

I installed a New spectra distributor from rock auto in my bronco and it didn’t last 3 months !!!! Of course they replaced it but now it sits on the shelf .Performance distributor built my latest Ford Duraspark and I am getting 4-5 mpg better fuel mileage .Pricey, but Wow the throttle response .TR
