The check eingine light on my 1988 302 5.0l EFI F-150 is flashing during accelleration, so I pulled the codes and came up with 32 (EVP/EGR related) in memory and 41 (running lean) while running.
I guess I should check for a vaccum leak or a faulty EGR valve to get rid of the 32 error, but how about the 41? The O2 sensor is new, so it can't be that. But I had to put on new headers as one of the exhaust manifolds was broken. Could it be that the headers are leaking? If so, how can I find out?
I'm not sure about the 41. I had a 44 and fixed it by replacing the Vacuum lines (one main going back, two small ones coming forward) But I did have the 32 error, and to fix it, I replaced the EVP Sensor. I believe it should cost around $32 or so. After I replaced it, the Check Engine Light never came back on, and the EEC isn't producing any more codes. Just make sure you get the right colored Sensor.
