Looks like I'm going to be selling my 1971 F-250 4X4 unfinished project. I have front and rear Dana 60 axle assemblies from a 1978 F-250 that I didn't get installed. I was wondering what the value of these axles might be.
Thanks for your help.
In my area, a "1971 F-250 4X4 unfinished project" is going to go for about $800 for the whole shootin' match. This means a non-runner, rollin' chassis with a clear title.

Bring them west! Add a zero to the end and that is base price for a highboy.

I paid 3k for a D60 out of a 79 F350, these axles are not getting cheaper!
rear is worth $100.
Front kingpin D60 with diff offset of that year is 2000 as core, and up in decent shape as said above.
That said the 05 up 60 are about $800 and have better brakes. The hardcore off-road crowd isn't really after the super expensive 78-79 60 anymore. Offset in axle cost covers cost of going from leafs to links.
Like everyone else has said, for the pair I would ask at least 2k. Big thing is the ratio, if they are 4:11 they may be more. I know a lot were 3:54, I pulled one from the junkyard last year for $200 and sold it for $600 before we had it completely out.
