I have the MX4 on my current truck and use it pulling a 5th wheel, also. Most of the time, I fold it up like the photo above and have some things under it that I may need. Other times, I'll fold it completely against the glass.
I've had a BakFlip tonneau on my truck for 5 years, I've only ever had to fold it against the cab when needing the whole bed, only fold it flat for 5th wheel hauling. I do have an 8ft bed though.
