2017 Fuel pressure surging
Truck is a 2017 with 60k on it, Deleted using blocker plates, S&B intake, 5" straight pipe, SOTF tuned with an EZlynk by GDP
Recently replaced the fuel filters (both) and checked the voltage on my SOTF.
When I roll into the throttle in 4th, 5th or 6th gear (think like freeway merging, so not going WOT but maybe 50-75%) I get a fuel pressure SURGE, and the truck gets jerky, it feels like what a failing wastegate would feel like almost. Ran some logs with the EZlynk and when the surge is happening my Desired fuel pressure vs actual fuel pressure has a 10-15% variance.
I was going to just disconnect the switch all together and plug the fuel temp back in with a single tune loaded to see if that helps anything, and maybe run some fuel treatment through it to see if i have a plugged up injector?
any other ideas or has anyone seen this before?
I have seen cases involving other products that there were know defects associated with the product that changed the fuel pressure readings into false high pressure readings.......you will have to prove to the tuner folks that there might be issues like this...in the cases I have seen...once confronted..the tuner folks will say ...oh, yeah about that...its just a false positive and no real change in pressure...so no biggy.
check your actual pressure to see if this is a false positive or actual change in pressure
