E40 tranny
I have a 1991 F250 4x4 with an E40 transmission that was rebuilt by a tranny shop 2 years ago... Last weekend I was almost stranded in the bush because I had no reverse gear..... When I returned the truck to the shop they said there was no oil in the tranny and the front seal had leaked out all the oil..... they also said that the seals are faulty and it is a common problem that has been resolved with a new type of seal..... Is this truly a common problem with the seal or is the shop bs'ing me.....??? any comments are welcome..thanks
