Question About Forward Camera for Adaptive Cruise Control vs. Collision Avoidance Sys
I have a 2020 F250 XLT Premium. I didn't realize it had the forward collision avoidance until it activated in a parking lot. I'm looking at grill guards and notice they have different versions for trucks with cameras, but they seem to lost them as Adaptive Cruise Control cameras. Is the collision avoidance system different than this system? I'm trying to figure out which grill guard I would need, since one has a cutout over the grill for the camera. I'm specifically looking at the Ranch Hand Legend. Thanks for the help!!
Adaptive cruise uses a forward facing radar in the front bumper. XLT trucks don’t have the Adaptive Cruise. The camera for the collision warning and the auto high beams is the IPMA behind the rear view mirror.

not to hijack the thread and just for clarification, from what I read, the adaptive cruise control uses the camera/IPMA as well as the separate radar/sensor in the bumper.

I could be wrong but I don’t think that’s the case.
