Hey Kenny - problems with gallery

Hey Kenny,

I sent you an email a day or two ago complaining about my update gallery being hidden and my not having any ability to appeal the action.

While a few of the pics may have been a little frivolous in their captions, the photos gave folks a good look at my truck (such as it is).

So I put up a new and reduced updated gallery a few days ago, with fewer pictures, hoping this would meet the guidelines.

I just got another notice. It's been hidden as well.

The notice is automated and says not to respond to it. With regard to what is wrong with my update, it simply says ;

"The main listing is meant to showcase Ford trucks, vans and suvs only. Albums of parts, procedures, diagrams, graphic images, non-trucks, etc., are too be kept hidden, no exceptions. Please do not unhide this album (such action will result in our deleting the album)."

Two questions for you -

1. Does this constitute 2 strikes in the 3 strikes you're out policy?

2. What is wrong with my update gallery? Some people want to see what a "Volare" looks like in place. some folks want to see what C notch is required to drop a 53-56 by 5 ". All or almost all show a "complete" truck...

Plse advise,

Thanks,

I can see the gallery you updated today. About 4 PICs, has your C notch but no Volare frame shots. I take it that's not the one you are referring to?

I too hope it is OK to post frame shots for our tech articles.

Hi Ferg,
I apologize for not getting back to you.
For some odd reason, I had thought the e-mail had been sent through the "report this post to a moderator" function, in which an "alert" is sent to the moderator of the forum, and all the administrators. My mistake.

I had thought you were actually addressing the administrators, and I was just receiving a copy, so I sat back thinking they were addressing it.

As a moderator, I have nothing to do with gallery editing, hiding, or deleting.
I did not see what you had in your gallery, but if it was a complete truck, I can't understand why it was deleted.

One thing I recently learned about galleries........
Hidden galleries are actually visible to everyone, even when you click on the "view my gallery" link under your avatar.
Hidden galleries are only actually hidden from the main gallery list (when you click the "galleries" link at the top right).

To answer your question the best that I can from what I understand........
Administration doesn't want "c notch" type galleries showing up on the main gallery listing. (The one where there are many pages of listings you can sort by year, state, etc). Everywhere else is fine. That's probably why they keep hiding it, because even hidden it still shows up everywhere else.

As far as the "2nd strike of a 3 strike policy", I really don't know. That is a question better suited for administration.

I hope this was somewhat of a help, and again I'm sorry for the mixup on my part regarding your e-mail.

>>>I didn't think that you had anything to do with it. You would have sent me a warning and explained what I was doing wrong before taking action.

>>>I'll take this over to the apropriate forum to try to get an answer on the matter.

Thanks Kenny,
