mustang into b2
i have an 85 mustang with a 302 and 5 speed manuel trans, how hard would it be to put it in my b2, would the stick be in the same place that the one for the b2 is at or would it be farther back. several ppl have told me to use a c4 trans but i hate automatic for 4 wheeling

The T-5 that is in your mustang will place the stick farther back, you will have to buy an expensive adaptor from advance adaptors to bolt your stock t-case to the t-5, you will have to have different length front and rear driveshafts made, and you will have to figure out how to link the clutch pedal to the trans, since the mustang has a cable clutch, and the BII has a hydraulic clutch. If you find a C5 trans from a 83/84 Ranger, or a 84 BII, then the swap is a bolt in using the C4 V8 bellhosing, torque convertor, and valve body.

I don't care how much it's going to cost, i already was expecting to put alot of money into this swap, but how much farther would the stick be and if it's over a foot, is there some kind of adapter to bring it up some and are there any adapters for the clutch thing or a simple way to replace the hydraulic with the mechanical clutch. I was also wondering if there are any adaptors for a stronger xfer case
