Paint Repair Advice
With either I don't see why you cant blend that repair. Yes it would be easier with single stage.
Remove the 2 bed side to floor bolts as a start.
I am guessing the 4 lt green things at the top are bed fender bolts are they also the same color of the bed side or different color?
If different color tape them off, tape off the floor to keep primer & them.
Do the normal needed repair and paint doing a blend of the paint and if CC you can clear the full panel or blend it.
Now with blending the color can be off a little but because you don't have a "hard paint line" you never see this difference in color.
That is what is nice about blending. The first 2 or 3 coats would be where the repair was done to cover it.
The next coats are brought out just a little on each coat, the blend.
Also you thin the outer blend coats or you can end up with a hard color line.
Once you have the area covered and the blend brought out you can then clear or color sand & buff but be careful if single stage as you can sand / buff thru the blend and end up at the hard paint line.
This is all old school just as BC/CC was coming out so may not work with the newer paints but I don't see why not?
BTW if that is a metal flake paint, just spraying at a different air PSI than when the panel was painted at will change the color because the way the metal flake lays .
