Wife found a 59 she wants as a 'yard ornament' Runs and drives, but I'd rather haul it on the trailer. It's a 350 with dual's in the back, flat bed. If I remove the rear outers will I be able to put it on a 7 x 16. Mostly worried about the width I think. I've hauled srw extended chevy's on the trailer (think mid 90's) but have yet to put a ford on it (all mine are crew'ers)
Ford will be narrower than ninety Chevy. My '59 us about six wide in front. Can't give you accurate rear without outers as I have a chevy hd70 rear axle. My trailer measures 6'4" between rails so think it will fit

Don't know but if your trailer is rated 7000 or more you should be fine. My 2005 chevy crew cab dually with fifth wheel hitch and a tool box full of tools and crap weighed 7200 on truck scales. Make sure engine forward. I helped a guy move a ''53 and it was in a side yard hard to get to. We winched it onto trailer bed forward. Couldn't go over 35 mph.
Yes it was. You were right on the front end. She went on fine. That rear axle... 3 and a half tires got on the trailer... so we just aired down the last one and strapped in on down!
The panel's got attached with straps later on during the two hour drive home.
I wish! Ding's through out. The paint is rattle can.. the floor boards will easily allow loose change collection from the road, the doors are two piece... inner piece and with some wind the outer skin will lift off. But the frame axle trans and engine all feel solid. The guy that had it knew his way around the carb. I think it's worth 1500$
But then I'm just an grumpy old man who has a fondness for rusty trucks.
Looks like you left the outers on? I thought you were going to remove them. Looking at pictures your axle may not be original. I replaced mine with a chevy axle and my outer tires stick out 3" past bed. Looks like your tires are sticking out too.
