Stiff steering 01 SD CC
I recently aquired a 01 SD, CC, with the v-10 and 35 inch AT's. I bought it used with 37,000 miles on it. I noticed right away that at low speeds(below 10 mph) the steering tends to bind up. It will get real stiff and kinda jerky. I took it to the dealer where I got it and they said that Ford had said with oversize tires that this was a common promlem. However I would think that if it was the tires that it would happen all the time but that is not the case. It only does it sometimes. Does anybody else have this problem or know anything about it. I am getting ready to take it back to the dealer but dont want to get the same answer and have to pay $85 this time to get it. Any help would be appreciated.

I would Raise the front of the truck and chk the front upper and lower ball joints.
37,000 is not alot of miles,but they could be shot or binding .
Is this a 4x4 ? could be the hubs are locked in or not unlocking.
