Battery light illuminated
This may have been asked a million times and I even searched for it but found now thread.
2002 7.3L.
New batteries and new alternator
alternator charging at 14.5 volts. Battery light on dash stays on constantly.
How do I get it to go out?

the "broken" wire is usually the fusible link that is at the solenoid on the inner fender, the other typical alternator wiring fault is the plug into the alternator, not the charge wire but the connector, since your alternator was recently changed that means that connector was unplugged and that is what usually causes them to fail.
