4 speed shifter problems
Have a 81 f150 had a 302 in It dropped a 460 big block from a 84 f250 in it. When the 4 speed trans was in the donor truck i checked the shifter it felt smooth and good, felt amazing. I took the shifter off (it's the screw off style with the giant screw off cap) no issues. Got it put in my truck and now however I try and put the shifter on it feels wrong. Super loose and it flops around like crazy. Any ideas here? It does this clutch engaged or not I've tried everything, like if a fly touches the shifter it moves (I can only find 3rd and reverse rn) haven't tried to move it yet still working on other things on truck.
