1988 460 dying after a couple minutes of idling
I’ve got a 1988 Ford SuperCab 460 auto with aftermarket Banks exhaust and intake. Found it abandoned for a couple years and did a tuneup (air filter, fuel filter, plugs, wires, coil, distributor cap and rotor) and drove it home 100+ Miles. Got it home and it wouldn’t run for more than a couple minutes. It would kinda run for a longer amount of time on one tank but not on the other. We cleaned out the tanks, new fuel pressure regulator, new distributor with new module. We tested the spark and it’s good. It tries to start but can’t. Any info is helpful, we believe it’s fuel related.

I can here them and they sound good when I prime the ignition. We took out the ECM to check for any weirdness, because these fords are known to have moisture get in the ECM, and sure enough we took the cover off the unit and it had some rust on one corner and some corrosion.
