Love the new truck! It sounds like your getting on the right path to figure yours out, good luck!
Wait. Did you get a new new truck or are you still running the blue ox? I'd be curious to see how a 366 would pull on my truck but the power I'm getting out of the 369 is unreal. I find it's a huge improvement over the 38r. It doesn't spool up as quick but once it does the power is there. And I find pulling there's no real smoke unless the rpms are below 1700. And below that I can usually keep it under control with the skinny pedal

If you got a t500 pump I would definitely start at the ipr with your duty cycle that high. I considered that 369 for a while also. Glad to hear it’s a good power range. What injectors are you running?

I have the blue OX, haven't burned it down yet What I said above is how surprised I was that the newer version of the 366, the sxe, spools so much quicker! Shortly after I blew a hole in my piston Darin did the same thing. The chuck of piston on his went down and damaged the cylinder wall, weird huh? He then built a killer motor!

Good to hear your still running an obs. Sucks for Darin though. Although I was under the impression he was already aiming at building a motor for it.

I'm running 160/80's

Alright. New info. In my hast of reselling my ipr I missed a crucial part. I pulled it out. Redid it. And the truck fired right up. At first ipr duty cycle was in the high 20's. truck ran crummy but it ran. No glow plugs and 40 degrees. After about 10 min the truck smoothed out and ipr came down to 17% at 730psi hpo. I chalk that up to air in the hpo system. This trucks alway idled at 17. Not sure why. On high idle it's at 14.7 at 750 psi. Oil temperature is at 170 degrees which I believe is higher then it was the other day. So I'm now leaning away from it being an hpo problem. Where it died on me was acceleratin on an incline. I'm leaning more to the idm having water inside but haven't checked yet

The thermostat opens at 171 degrees and the truck wasn't up to temp yet so that couldn't have been the problem

Was the nut on the ipr loose when you took it apart? Whenever mine died under acceleration it was always in this area. First was the ipr. Second time it was the fuel bowl wire harness which has the wires for the ipr. I’d strongly recommend ordering an OE harness from Riffraff just in case that’s the problem. It started dying every couple days till I tried to clean the plug. Plugged it back in and no go till I got the new harness. Definitely worth the $80 in my mind

Then I’d definitely replace the fuel bowl harness. It plugs in to the left of the fuel bowl. Has the fuel heater water in fuel sensor and ipr wires

Yeah that's all been capped off. I don't have a fuel bowl anymore. All I have left is the ipr wires.

Thumbs up

So you do or do not have a fresh HPOP? My duty cycle dropped huge at idle with a fresh one. 17% is bad at idle, my clapped OE 15 degree pump did 14s, the Adrenaline does 7-9% at idle now as I recall.

Where are you at currently? I have a spare PCM and IDM if you are somewhat local we can pop in to try on the rig.

Are you still utilizing what is left of the OE fuel filter bowl harness to run the IPR? I junked all that crap when I did e-fuel. New IPR pig tail, Weatherpack connector for the two pins, some good copper wire. DONE.

17% is high. I agree. Been like that since I put the t-500 in. Maybe it's a week ipr? I don't know. I got cut off the wires to the fuel bowl and capped them but still used the ipr wiring. Truck ran for 45 min with no issues today. I'll try again tomorrow

Well I drove it around for an easy hour today and no issues. If it does it again I'll have my tablet with me to monitor why.

After that I'm guessing hpop? Or an injector oring blew out? Anybody have other ideas?
Dang I could have sent you away with a spare idm too!
