Bronco conversion or clone

I have a 1994 F250 4X4 that I built from junk. My wife asked me the difference in the pickup compared to the Bronco. She loves the Broncos. I have two questions: 1) Is there a topper available that resembles a Bronco that will fit the long bed? 2) Is there a Bronco tailgate conversion for a pickup? I especially love my F250 because the the 4X4 setup is beefier than the Bronco and the stock F150 4X4. I used my truck to pull my best friend's F150 4X4 out of a swamp after he grenaded the differential. I hope I did not hit a nerve but I just feel like the F250 is a bit tougher than a stock Bronco or F150 4X4. I would love to have an F250 Bronco.

Complete rebuild. New bumper to bumper (including the bumpers) I replaced the headlights since this picture was taken. Factory remanufactured 351 40 over. Transmission gear ratios stock but set up with steel planetaries and low stall torque converter. Entirely new suspension and brake system. Everything under the hood is new.

I did not know that. Thanks. I was thinking along the lines of a topper for the bed with a tailgate that swings out. I realize a topper for the long bed will not exactly look like a short wheelbase Bronco but there has to be a topper out there that looks like a Bronco even if it is just from a distance.

If you want a 3/4 ton Bronco look for Centurion trucks like the one pictured. I believe there was also another conversion company that did the same thing.

In my opinion Leer makes the best looking camper shell / topper for our generation trucks. It has the cleanest lines for a stockish look. I have one that is sometimes on my truck but usually hanging on a rack in the garage. This one is for a short bed, but they make long bed versions. I got this one on Craigslist for $150 and painted it. Look on Craigslist or Marketplace for a used one.

That was a good deal for $150. I like the hanging setup too.

The Bronco tailgate is a direct replacement. The opening is the same. There was someone on here that used a Bronco tailgate from a junkyard because it was in better shape than the one on his pickup. The yard didn’t have any nice tailgates. You would need to run power back to the window motor if you want it to work but I’m not sure how that would work with the rear of the cap.

Well, there is the difference between 1/2T (Bronco/ F-150) and 3/4T (F-250) frame, suspension and axles.

No Bronco tailgate swings out. Only the outside tire carrier does that. You would have to look at what caps are available from different manufacturers to see if something is close in appearance.

Yes, there is no difference between the F250/350 and F150 in this model year body related.

Yeah, no reason it wouldn't fit F250 or F350.
