That was not a problem for me. I want to start purchasing items for it bed cover and such. I built the truck and then they made me an offer including their discount rebate and the trade amount for my current truck. The number worked out. My fear is when it arrives they may say well your truck is 2 months older or whatever and change the bottom line.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to spend a couple thousand dollars on accessories and then no deal.

I really am not expecting this to happen and everything has been smooth so far. Just wondering!

Thanks
Rudy
Mine shipped on the 14th, ordered on Nov 9th. I just kept an eye open for any deals for accessories, and didn't see any deals between then and when it shipped. Once it shipped I ordered all the accessories I need to start with. I probably wouldn't have ordered anything prior unless it was a great deal. It says the estimated delivery date is Feb. 1st.

Where do we get the ID number to track a shipped truck on one of the rail systems? Is it on the window sticker, if so where is it?

You have to ask your dealer for the rail car number to track it.

I was more interested to see if anyone has had issues with the dealership changing the agreement after 8 - 12 weeks of waiting. My deal included my trade. But if it takes 3 months are they going to say well we are not giving that amount to you?

My deal is going to include trading in a 2006 tundra, so I'll let you know if they honor the amount they quoted for the trade.

Rudy,

Did you get the trade value offer in writing on the pending sales order? My dealer offered me an extra $4000.00 over all other trade offers to get me to "pre-trade" in my 2014 KR F350. They would not guarantee to give me the same deal at time of delivery for my order ( understandably so as my truck would be 2- 3 months older with additional miles and perhaps the risk of damage) So i took the deal and turned in my truck back at the date of my order 10/28 .

If you have a signed agreement and have put money down on the deal, there is no way that they can legally walk away from it.

I worked out a deal at the time I ordered that included a trade in. Part of the agreement was that the deal would be good even though 3+ months would have passed and the trade in milage would be higher. I was happy with the trade in price the dealer offered, and part of that was that the vehicle would have higher milage when the deal closed. The dealer honored the deal when my truck arrived, right at 11 weeks from the order date. If I had run up the milage crazy high I would not have expected them to. I could understand if a dealer wanted a clause about max trade in milage, but other than that, they should honor the deal you agreed to.

Have a signed deal and they never asked for me to turn my truck in before the new one is here. So I'm hopeful!

Sounds good and I would understand if things drastically changed. This is just my first special order and my head is spinning thinking something is going to go wrong. 🤪

When I signed my deal on 12/12 and the saleslady said 8-12 weeks to delivery, I asked about the trade-in that they just evaluated and made me an offer on. She stated that the offer was good until the truck was delivered unless the truck was involved in an accident.
