I did not order running boards on truck when made the order 2 weeks ago knowing I can get them cheaper elsewhere. Would like to know what yall run or recommend. It will be a farm truck and don't want the 1500 hideaways though they'd be nice. Thank yall
My recommendation is to get the extended versions, either factory or aftermarket. I actually prefer the cosmetics of boards that only extend with the cab, but the functionality of the extended boards that run to the rear wheel well won me over in about 4 seconds. Being able to step up and access the front of the bed from the running boards is an absolute game-changer, even for folks like me who don't use their beds that frequently. For a farm truck, I'd expect even more frequent bed access and more use from the extended boards.

I will have a flat bed on it, so that may be a good idea
I went with these from Havoc. About 500 bucks. Because I wanted them to be high and tight. I think the factory boards sit too low. I like the way the Raptor boards sit and these are similar. Still a bit of a high step up for an old man... but my 5'4" wife has no problem getting up in the cab.
They came with cheap hardware though so I went and got stainless carriage bolts from home depot.
One mild winter in and no rust so far.
