Firestone still says there kits don’t work with FX4??

I had to bend the bracket a bit, was nervous about doing it but in the end I didn't have to bend it that far, and after 10k miles it doesn't seem to have been an issue.

Were you able to bend it by hand or did you need to use tools? Was it the bracket mounted on top of the axle on the drivers side?
