2020 running boards

Ok so I have read and read and the general consensus seems to be they work. I have tried them with the f250 brackets, Excursion brackets and I can't seem to line up anything what am I missing.

Are folks just using self tappers to make new holes in the boards?

Pictures would help, but I would drill the holes you need in the new brackets. Use the old ones to mark where the holes go or make a cardboard template. There are a couple different spots to mount them under the EX, you just need to move the U-nuts or get new ones. I can't remember if just the middle can be moved or if they all can.

I have a set that I haven't mounted yet, but I'll be using the factory 2020 brackets so they hang a little lower for the short folks in my life. Plan is to use riv nuts to mount them using the bottom flange of the rocker and through the inner rocker for the top mounts. Holding them up by hand, seems like it'll work.

The offset on the brackets didn't look very feasible unless you are adding spacers. I ended up using the original Excursion brackets lined the boards up where I wanted them to sit, drilled and tapped them.

Next project will be fitting that ranch hand brush guard. Found so many deals in Texas for this thing
