Pre Collision Warning

Hello all. On my 2019 SD when parking it in my garage shouldn’t it give me a warning when I’m getting close to the wall? I just recently switched garage stalls and I used to back it in and it would alert me when I was getting close to the wall which worked great but when I drive it in it doesn’t do that. I could have sworn when I test drove these the salesperson told me it would alert me of an obstruction in front. Do I have something not set correctly or has something malfunctioned?

Does your truck have the 360 camera option? If it does it is easy to switch the front camera on and visually see how close you are to the wall.

Yes I do have that camera since I ordered the Tow Technology. I just went and tested it out. It does work and I can gauge it better to determine how close iam getting to the garage wall. Thanks

Pre Collision is for higher speed use I believe. As was mentioned no front parking sensors for some reason these. You can get aftermarket ones on Amazon that will sound a buzzer, not tied into the Sync system but nice audible. Or front camera is a good option.

Not related to the OP's question about parking but at highway speeds will this system apply the brakes also? Or just set off alarms?

That beep is super annoying. I have to shut it off when I start to back up.
personally I just watch the camers. I also put pool water tubes on the wall to get super close. But my wall is a plastic shed. You can kinda see it here. I just glued and screwed it in
