I have a 2000 Ford F-150 with the 5.4 triton motor it is about 1000miles from 200,000 miles. It ended up spitting a spark plug out of cylinder 7 while driving it like a granny l. So I drove it home parked it took all the spark plugs out and coil packs out. Replaced all of the spark plugs and coil packs. Except cylinder 7 was stripped so i put a non fouler kit in it instead of heli coil like I should have only reason for not doing that is because never done one and autozone didn’t have any for my motor. The truck cranks up fine and idles pretty decent all plugs are motor craft except cylinder 7 which is autolite which is what came in the non fouler kit. Was wondering if putting non fouler kit in there would change the compression on the motor. When I rev it up it sounds like a bent valve and when it’s under pressure such as putting in gear it bogs down
Well the non fouler will just blow out. Its probably not even seated all the way. You need to install a timesert and fix it properly. Don't use the helicoil brand kit use the genuine timesert.
