Light off road build
Light off road build
Hey all,
I am the proud owner of a reasonably clean 92 f250, she's 2wd with a 351 and I don't have much interest in going through the work of making it 4x4 but I would like to get a bit of a lift so I can accommodate a 33-35 inch tire. I spend lots of time on logging roads but I'm not a crazy off-roader.
I can't seem to find much on 2wd lifts maybe one or two kits.
I'd like to know what others have done to achieve this, I know I'll need extended radius arms or drop brackets and axle pivot brackets. I'm not sure what front springs I can use or what parts interchange from other obs trucks.
Any info i can put toward my not so prerunner type build would be greatly appreciated!

33 inch tires will fit. they will rub a bit on full lock turns, and if you rough offroad ride, but they will fit under stock 2 wheel drive suspension and drive fine as long as you do not beat on the truck.
at most you may have to trim the front bumper a bit, or shim it to move forward a 1/4 inch or so.
