Explorer 1998 4.0l ECU compatibility

I have a ranger 3.0l V6, 1998, two wheel drive. I'm just curious, if the ECU of same year model explorer V6 1998 explorer can be used without any issues.

Thanks

Welcome to FTE.

The two vehicles are so different, beginning with the engine size & we don't know if the 3.0L Ranger is a flex fuel, straight drive, or auto tranny, wheel size, differential gear ratio, same for the explorer & on & on it goes, so not likely useable without problems, like reprogramming for starters.
