Heater core

Does anyone know of an alternative heater core for a 56 F100? Mid Fifty is out of stock and wants $235.00 for them. Someone said a early model Mustang might work, has anyone found or used different core?

Thanks

I just bought a heater core for my 55 from Carnegie Universal Radiator in Carnegie , PA near Pittsburgh. It cost around $90 with tax and shipping. Google them and call them.

You will have to have someone sweat off your old tanks and solder them on the new core.
There service is very good. The first one they sent me was ⅜" too big. They told me to send it back and they'll send me a new one . I mailed mine out this Monday and on Wednesday the new one was at my house. They didn't even wait for mine to arrive to them.

I think you're going to have to do something like Abe did with his heater core. Or if you're lucky and still have radiator shops around, maybe the original heater core can be repaired.
