Good Saturday #2 West Virginia, Denny, Ken, Shaun, Bud, Roy, John, Neil, Steve and all the crew wandering through.
Starting off cold this morning at 37° but I see the sun starting to come through the tree tops. Home alone again and not sure what I will get into today. I pulled the dies out to set up in a different press to load some 30-30 cases I have on hand. Fall cleaning of some part of the house. Dinner for honey tonight. Other than that I will play it by ear!

Howdy Rod. I need to get ready to make some more cartridges for the muskets both blanks and live rounds. Gotta make sure I have enough cartridge paper on hand to roll the cartridges. Also need to get ready to order some more lead shot. Getting harder to find the large caliber stuff so I think I am going to have to get a few molds and start collecting old wheel weights to start making my own.

Good morning Shaun and Bud and have a wonderful day. Looking beautiful out with the sun but only 63° out.
Bud I am home alone for 10 hours - what could go wrong! LOL
Lead is getting harder to get. even the junk yards are holding and selling wheel weights at a price!
Even in my days of squirrel hunting with a 36 flint I never shot enough to be worth me making paper cartridges. But I know a bunch of BP shooters and cartridges reenactors that do. I have made a few for the giggles! mostly for the 50!
I tried to post pictures of dinner last night and it looks like that past didn't go. Had internet connection problems for a while.
So here it is again I hope!
Here are the pictures Roy
Sausage, Bell pepper, eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, fresh kale, onion and salt add pepper. Fired some taters for the side.
Very good!

I dont shoot enough at the range but since the larger caliber shot I need is getting harder to find I might have to start making my own. Thats the downside to shooting .69 and .72 caliber rounds.

Morning Rod, Shaun, Bud, Ken, Denny, Roy and anyone that I missed.
Also cool here to start the day with temps at the house at 31* but there was no frost. I should get up to around 60* for the high.

I have my great great uncles percussion from the Civil War and it is a 68. I have plenty of ***** and mini ***** for it. I have his powder horn and it has powder from around 1890 according to the Mass Spec analysis as well as what we believe to be 1880 mini *****. And yes I have fired a little of both and they shot just fine!
