3 is a good number to always keep you busy. Any less and you will get bored and might end up getting a full size 78/79 Bronco.

Well morning there folks, what is on the agenda today? Well it is official, there has been an cross border FTE member/international FTE G2G in a combat zone. Jeremy and I just figured out a little bit ago that we have both been in country for a while and were about a block apart.......on the same base. Lol
So we finally worked it out and had a FTE mini G2G. Biggest problem was no beer, no bonfire, no dent side Ford trucks in sight. So we talked about life/work/Ford trucks and all the other stuff grown men talk about while being stationed overseas. Family, friends, guns, jobs, more family, and wanting to be home. The logistics of getting a Ford truck in the shot did not work out today, but ya never know what some Ford truck guys can pull off.

Rich I talked to your ex-bro in law. I gave him the low down. He didn't seem like he was ready to drop the truck off. I told him he's 3rd in line, but the Toyota set me back a couple days, so the job after that will be pushed back a couple days. (small body and paint job on a Mustang) Then his. Trying to give an estimate on job like his without seeing it is impossible. I need to see it to know exactly what's going on, and I tried to convey that to him. I got a lot of the pieces cut for the frame stub on the Toyota today and started in on the welding. I'll hit it hard again tomorrow and try to get as far as I can. Tiff still has me doing stuff to get ready for her party next weekend and I'm only one crippled old man. Man, I'm trying to get everything done for everyone.
As far as the offroad carburetor, they seem to work well enough. I don't have any first hand experience with them.

Well, I made it to Clever today & LOOKED at that Eagle. It's still there! I'm sure Alan could fix that roof, but I doubt I could afford that boy! Like they say, ya get what ya pay fer. I don't think I could afford to do it right (take it to Alan), so I'm leaving it for somebody with deeper pockets. The roof is ROUGH!! The REST of the body (& what I could see of the frame) looked good. Interior wasn't all torn up, headliner was falling down (typical) & driver's door hinge feels like it needs new bushings & pins (again, not uncommon on them). That roof though ...

No problem Alan I understand completely, I will also try to convey that to him. Hard to give estimates over the phone without even seeing the vehicle or the repair work needed. I do appreciate you working it and me in your schedule.
No Ford truck in the pic but other cool stuff.

Rich. Cool stuff!
Pat, sorry I didn't get out there. I just got buried this week.
Speaking of rough, I got both frame rails built and one of them installed on the Toyota. I hope to have it done or real close to it tomorrow. I'm happy with it so far. I couldn't believe the old frame rail when I cut it out and got a good look at it. I've seen colanders with fewer holes. I'll get some pictures tomorrow. I have no idea what was holding this truck up. I will say the crossmember the gas tank was mounted to rotted in two and let the gas tank hit the ground on the way over to the shop.

Alan, don't sweat it. I went, I looked, I left - it there! I'm sure you could've worked your magic on it (I recall how much you enjoyed that wagon) & had it looking BETTER than new (I''ve seen what you can do, up close & personal like, remember Alice?). I just don't think I could've afforded it! I'm gonna TRY to move the pics. from my phone & post them here. That roof was NOT pretty!!! The first two were from the ad. I knew the vinyl top was shot, got some more pics. from a friend, they had me a little concerned about the roof, but I didn't expect THAT! They didn't load in order or I did something wrong. Try this, the two NOT TOO BAD ones were from the ad, the up close & personal ones were what I took!
