Gap Insurance advice

My last truck was my first experience with zero down zero interest Ford financing for 72 months. I don't remember being offered gap insurance. Maybe he was afraid to mention it after the tirade I went on when he tried to scare me into buying a warranty. My dealership understood many years ago not to mention these addons when writing up my sale. I can remember the days when they tried to scare you into buying credit life insurance. I guess it had been too many years since I'd bought a new one that they had forgotten the me rule. My other rule was the don't call me, I'll call you rule when I walked.
