ZF5 swap
Hello, I am about to swap out my 4r100 with the zf5. I have just about everything I need but I am unsure of the driveshaft. The zf5 is a 96 and the truck is a 2000. So if anyone knows which one I need please respond!! thank you

Apologies in advance for not having information about the drive shaft.
Just curious, are you tracking that this swap might present a step-backward in terms of gearing? Unless I am missing something, OD gears are 0.71 for the 4R100 and 0.77 for the ZF-5 (am presuming it is the diesel s5-47 variant). And reverse is a little fast too as the S5-47 is 4.66.

I would also discourage this, but can try to answer your question.
If you are using the OBS/ZF5 t-case, you’ll need to have the front of driveshaft modified for the different style flange on T-case.
Ill have to go look at the 2 different t-cases to remember what else is different.
I dont know how the driveshaft lengths are different, but that will likely need to be addressed. To shorten a shaft usually costs me about $50 locally. If you need different ends, that can easily double the cost.
Not sure about crossmember differences either.
There are several other challenges that need to be overcome as well.
