Rear window molding
I believe it is NOT NEITHER stainless or aluminium, but a rubber/hard material like substance. And it might even have a chrome film on the outside. And it does come in different shapes sizes and you want to get the shape and size that goes with your seal. That will save you from a tool throwing event in the shop. Lol One of the beer fridge shop trolls lost and eye and a piece of ear that day. Now we call him "patches".
I know that when it is original it does not come out very easy and usually breaks in pieces and or the chrome film gets all stretched out of shape. Unless you are REAL patient when removing and reinstalling. You mean this? Red arrows, sorry best actual pic I had. And yes I mean the thin line, not the window frame.

I've been looking for a set and I finally found one but it has a few little dings in it. if it's stainless I can fix it if it's aluminum it's not worth the effort. the outfit who has it doesn't know and doesn't seem to care to get me an answer.
I believe he is talking about this molding. Thick metal chrome around the windshield. -Ed
